The Brazilian Development Bank, known as Banco Nacional de Desenvolvimento Econômico e Social (BNDES) is a federal public company associated with the Ministério do Desenvolvimento, Indústria, e Comércio Exterior (MDIC), a cabinet-level federal ministry in Brazil.
BNDES is one of the largest development banks in the world and its goal is to provide long-term financing for endeavours that contribute to the country's development.
