Concept

The Paris Conference is the first global gathering of long-term investors from public and private sector funds from around the world. Its goal is to seize the opportunities of this unique moment in economic history to set in place the conditions for future prosperity.

Initiated by the Long-Term Investors Club, The Paris Conference is arranged in partnership with the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development.(OECD)

As the financial crisis develops into a global economic recession, it is time to review the rules and regulations of our financial and economic environment. Long-term investors of all types, including sovereign funds, pension funds and public institutions, have a leading role to play in this process.

The Paris Conference is dedicated to defining and encouraging optimal conditions for long-term investors to play their rightful role in generating value and creating economic stability in the post-crisis world.

The conclusions of the June 22 Paris Conference have been presented at the 10th Annual OECD Forum, in Paris on June 23 and 24, 2009.
