Turkiye Sınai Kalkınma Bankası

Beginning its activities in 1950, Industrial Development Bank of Turkey (TSKB) is the first private investment and development bank of Turkey.

Having become an important brand in mid/long term credit and project financing of investment projects, since its establishment TSKB has operated as a bank financing the establishment of thousands of industrial corporations in Turkey. Recently extending the leadership role its has played for so many years in financing investment projects to the financing of energy projects, TSKB reaches corporate customers in the investment banking field by offering privatization, public offering, financial/strategic partnership and assessment consulting services and both corporate and individual customers by offering capital market intermediary and portfolio management services.

TSKB runs its activities from the central branch office in Istanbul, domestic branches in Ankara and Izmir, and Bahrain branch office abroad.

TSKB leads in the largest credit and project financing initiatives accomplished in a variety of industries, primarily in the energy sector. In Turkey, TSKB is a bank that has realized the highest number of environment and renewable energy related projects with loans it has extended. Taking into consideration the environmental risks of the organizations and projects it finances, TSKB is the first Turkish bank certified with ISO 14001 Environment Management System Standard.

Having internalized environment sensitivity as a main element of the banking services cycle and corporate culture and assumed an environment bank mission voiced in its expression of “Environment : Our Priority”, in 2009, TSKB has once again been awarded the ’Sustainable Bank of the Year’ in Eastern Europe in the ‘Emerging Markets ’ category in scope of “Financial Times Sustainable Banking Awards”, the prize it previously received in 2008, 2009 and 2010.

Becoming “the first bank in Turkey to erase its carbon footprint” in 2009, TSKB joined the ranks of corporations sensitive to the environment and sustainable development issues by becoming a member of the United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative (UNEP FI). TSKB has become member to United Nations Global Compact in June 2010 and Long Term Investor’s Club in October 2010.
