Anass Houir Alami

Anass Houir Alami was born in March, 1968 in Rabat, he was appointed on June 13th, 2009 to the head of Caisse de Dépôt et de Gestion (CDG) by His Majesty the King Mohammed VI.

Course

In 1990, he obtains his engineering degree from the school Engineers’ Mohammadia (EMI) in Rabat. After a brief passage (one year) in the Engineering company of methods and management, he leaves Morocco in 1991 for the United States where he obtains in 1993 his Master’s degree of Business Administration specialized in finance and in international affairs (business) in Stern School of business of the University of New York. He joins Morocco and co-establishes a broking firm, Upline Securities. Some years later, Upline Securities developed to become one of the most important merchant banks of the country.

In 2005, he was appointed at the head of the supervisory board of the Company of the Foreign exchange market of Casablanca (SBVC).

On February 15th, 2006, he was appointed by his majesty the king CEO of the post.
