Anass Alami

King Mohammed VI appointed Anass Alami on June 13th, 2009 as the new Director General of Morocco’s state fund (CDG, Caisse de Dépôt et de Gestion). Anass Alami replaces Moustapha Bakkoury.
Born in 1968, Alami graduated in 1990 from the Ecole Mohammedia d’ingénieurs (Mohammedia Engineer School) in Rabat. He started his career as an analyst and programmer in the société Informatique et Méthodes de Gestion (computing and management company).
After obtaining an MBA in Finance and international affairs from the Stern School of Business, New York University, Alami contributed in founding of the Upline Securities into a single group of companies operating in the Moroccan financial market. Upline group has become the first merchant bank.
In February 2006, King Mohammed VI appointed Alami as Managing Director of Morocco’s post office (Barid Al Maghrib).
